ST. LOUIS, MO – Medical laboratory professionals including scientists, technologists, technicians, phlebotomists, and students, will gather in Springfield for the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Sciences – Missouri (ASCLS-MO) chapter annual meeting and conference. Held April 20-21, 2023, at the Ozarks Technical Community College Springfield Campus, the conference is the most important annual state-wide event for laboratory professionals and laboratory managers to take part in educational sessions, see the latest technological and scientific developments, and network with friends and colleagues.

The conference includes two days of interactive learning sessions covering diverse topics such as transgender lab values, sepsis detection, regional options for furthering education, bioethics, establishing a professional online presence, and more. A student-focused panel featuring lab professionals and educators will also be offered to current laboratory students in the state to discuss career readiness and other topics impacting new professionals. The exhibit hall will be packed with knowledgeable representatives of the industry. A social event, including a Brew Master talk, will be held at Springfield Brewing Company in downtown Springfield.

With Medical Laboratory Professionals Week on the conference’s heels, April 23-29, 2023, it’s the perfect time to celebrate and collaborate with these integral members of health care.
